	⋅ village hidden in the sand ⋅ Sunagakure is the hidden village of the Land of Wind. The ninja from this village seem to specialize in wind release techniques, the Puppet Technique -- and from their performance in the Fourth Shinobi World War, the Cloth Binding Technique. Shinobi from this village believe that the accomplishment of a mission predominates the lives of the ninja trying to accomplish it. As such, they are known to be ruthless in battle meaning to them, failure is not an option. And should failure seem inevitable, a Suna Shinobi would almost surely try to make a success of their mission in some way or another. The first passage to travel into the valley is in a cleft between two cliff faces which provides a natural defense for the village, making the area very hard to attack. The buildings also seem to be made of clay or stucco, which helps to keep the buildings cool and allow them to also withstand the raging sand storms which are common in the Wind. 	⋅ endless desert ⋅ Surrounding Sunagakure is a vast desert -- here the sand is bleached near-white by the constant over-exposure to the merciless sun. This desert stretches far beyond the village until the very edge of the Land of Fire border. Because this desert is as large as it is dangerous for rival Shinobi, Sunagakure uses the desert to give them luxurious -- and reassuring -- protection.	0	0	No posts have been made on this board.
	⋅ the badlands ⋅ Land that is heavily cracked from the lack of moisture stretches even further north of Sunagakure; even past the seemingly endless desert. Shinobi of the Sand often wonder if this land was once fertile before quickly reminding themselves that nothing survived more than 48 hours in the nutritionally deprived soil, therefore no animals could. Still, a few shoots of plants -- though their leaves are so wilted they're stiff -- can be seen poking out of the larger cracks in the ground.	0	0	No posts have been made on this board.

⋅ the land of wind ⋅

The Land of Wind is one of the more prominent countries in the series. It is located to the south-west of the Land of Fire and borders the Land of Rivers and the Land of Rain. Its government leader is the Wind Daimyō. The country covers a vast realm, but that realm is largely composed of deserts. Because there is very little rainfall throughout the year, the people of the country live in villages built on one of the desert's many oases. Despite the country's extremely harsh environment, it has a large population. Although they have warred with each other in the past, the Land of Wind is on good terms with the Land of Fire, with a great deal of trade going on between the two countries.
